Ojà Aṣọ ("we", "us") is a classifieds platform that helps buyers and sellers connect to arrange second-hand fashion sales. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What data we collect
- Account details: name and email address.
- Profile details: profile photo (optional), location details (e.g. city/country), bio, and phone number (optional, and only shared if you choose).
- Listings: titles, descriptions, prices, categories, size information, and photos you upload.
- Messages: messages sent between buyers and sellers.
- Reports & moderation: any reports you submit, and related safety actions taken.
- Usage and device info: basic logs needed to run and secure the service (for example, error logs and sign-in/session information).
How we collect data
- From you: when you create an account, fill out your profile, post listings, send messages, or report content.
- Automatically: limited technical data (like logs) to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- From third parties: if you sign in with Google, we receive the basic account info provided by Google (like your email).
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and sessions.
- To display listings and profiles within the app.
- To enable buyer–seller messaging.
- To keep the platform safe (fraud prevention and moderation, including block/report features).
- To provide support and respond to your requests.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve app performance.
Note: Òjà Aṣọ does not process or facilitate payments, and does not charge transaction fees. Any transaction details (payment, shipping, meetup) are arranged independently between buyers and sellers.
Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to help operate the service. This may include:
- Authentication: email login and Google sign-in.
- Image hosting: to store photos you upload.
- Infrastructure providers: to host the app and database.
- Email delivery: to send important account emails.
These services process data on our behalf to provide core functionality. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account in the app. We may retain limited information where required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention purposes.
Your choices (including revoking consent)
- Access & correction: you can update your profile information in the app.
- Delete your account: you can request deletion from the Profile screen.
- App permissions: you can revoke permissions (like photos/camera) in your device settings.
- Support requests: you can contact us to request access, export, or deletion help.
Children's privacy
Ojà Aṣọ is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.
